Joseph R. Krehel, 88, of Edison, passed away at JFK Medical Center on September 16, 2025. He was born on November 23, 1936, in Scranton, PA. He graduated Valedictorian of his class from Newark Vocational High School in 1954. Joseph was the Owner/Operator of Bonney Vehslage Tool and Die Co. in Newark, NJ. He was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral. Joseph loved jogging, bowling, classic cars and was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and Miami Dolphins.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Krehel and Helen Dapsis; his wife, Patricia M. Norton; and a brother, Michael Krehel.

Joseph is survived by two sons, Christopher Krehel and Lee Poole, of Cliffwood Beach; and Marty Krehel and his wife, Mariana, of Middlesex; two grandchildren, MJ and Kate; two brothers, George Krehel and his wife, Karen, of Kansas and Robert Krehel of Woodbridge; a sister, Darlene Palmieri, of Bloomfield; and a sister-in-law, Denise Krehel, of South Carolina.
