Joseph Koleno, 94, of Hopelawn, passed away at home on August 16, 2017. He was born May 17, 1923, in Englishtown, NJ. Joseph was a graduate of Woodbridge High School. He served as a Flight Engineer in the Army Air Force during WWII with a rank of Sergeant.  He was an active member of the VFW.  Joe was employed as a Manager by Citgo, Exxon and as a Supervisor for Supermarkets General Distribution.  His hobbies included model railroading, reading, gardening and was in the Woodbridge Bowling League.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anita (nee Kerstetter) Koleno, of Hopelawn; a son , Keith Koleno, of Princeton; two daughters, Karen Koleno of Hopelawn and Paula Blaze and her husband, Stephen, of Branchburg; and two grandchildren, Christine and Lauren.

Visitation will be at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863 on Saturday, August 26, 2017, 10 am to 1 pm. Services will be 1 pm in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
