Joseph R. Hrabinski, 81, of Edison, passed away at home on June 9, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Jersey City on October 5, 1935, to Julianna and Alexander Hrabinski. He was employed as a Laboratory Technician with Exxon in Linden prior to his retirement in 1993. Joseph was a communicant of Good Shepherd Parish – Holy Rosary Church and a member of American Legion Post 324 in Edison. He was a Korean War veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed camping and the outdoors. He especially loved doing craft projects with his grandchildren.
Joseph was predeceased by his first wife, Veronica Hrabinski, in 1985 and his two sisters, Irene Schmielo and Anna Hack.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hrabinski, to whom he was married for 28 years; his children: Veronica Evans and her late husband, Mark; Loretta Golaszewski; Richard Hrabinski and his wife, Shilpa; Christopher Hrabinski and his wife, Donna; Kevin Hrabinski and his wife, Lisa; Theresa Kwasnik and her husband, Milton; Concetta Rammer and her husband, Kenneth; and Alice Franko and her husband, Gary. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and his sister, Margaret Egner.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 9 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ, followed by a 9:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Good Shepherd Parish – Holy Rosary Church. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
