Joseph Alimonti, 93, of South Amboy, passed away on July 23, 2021, at Raritan Bay Medical Center. He was born in Garwood on July 15, 1928. Joseph was a Foreman Mechanic for Woodbridge Township. He enjoyed fishing, was very handy and was a lover of animals.

Joseph was predeceased by his wife, Judith Alimont, two brothers, Angelo and Benjamin Alimonti, and a stepson, Gerald Freeman.

He is survived by his wife, Hilda Alimonti, of South Amboy; a son, Thomas Alimonti, and his wife, Lynn, of Caldwell; a brother, Carl Alimonti, of Stamford, NY; two granddaughters, Nicole and Kimberly; three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Noah and Dylan; three stepdaughters, Nidia Perez, and her husband Albert, of Staten Island, NY, Elsie Isaacson, and her husband Steven, of North Brunswick, Solangel Robbins, and her husband, David, of Newport, RI.; a stepdaughter-in-law, Frances Freeman; stepgrandchildren: Gerald Freeman Jr., Judith Freedman, Nicole, and Ruben; and stepgreat-grandchildren, Briseis, James, and Dallas.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, 2-8 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral Services will be Thursday 10:30 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery.
