Jose Antonio Figueroa, Sr., 78, of Perth Amboy, passed peacefully, on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Puerto Rico, he had resided in Perth Amboy for over 61 years.

He retired in 2004, after over 20 years as an Assembler with Englert Metals in Woodbridge. He was a member of the Latin Stars Motorcycle Club in Perth Amboy.

He was predeceased by his beloved father, Santiago Figueroa, his brother, Johnny Figueroa, and sister, Gloria Torres.

Jose leaves behind his beloved wife of 58 years, Gloria Maria Saez Figueroa; his beloved son, Jose Antonio Figueroa, Jr. and his wife, Denise, of South Plainfield; his beloved daughter, Anna Gerena and her husband, Andrew, of Perth Amboy; his two dear grandchildren, Andrew Michael and Adrianna; his beloved mother, Ana Figueroa, his brother, Santiago Figueroa; and his four sisters: Carmen Iris, Nelly and Helen Figueroa and Rosa Sanchez.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 3, 2017, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 9:00 am from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, followed by a 9:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Holy Rosary Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Hopelawn.  Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
