Jose A Costa 89 of Hopelawn, entered into eternal rest September 3, 2016 at Amboy Care Center in Perth Amboy. He was born in Portugal and was formerly of Perth Amboy before moving to Hopelawn 30 years ago.

Jose retired from Empire Polymers in Perth Amboy as a fork lift operator in 1992.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima of the Rosary R C Church in Perth Amboy.

Jose was predeceased by his children Jose T Costa on 2005 and Maria Piedade Costa in 1955. He is survived by his wife Piedade, his daughter Rosa Maia and her husband Fernando of Oakhurst, his grandchildren Christine, Ana Maria, Robert, and Ashley, and his great grandchildren Jeremy, Matthew, Anthony, Cristiano, and Lucas.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords followed by a 10 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Fatima of the Rosary Church. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday 5-9 pm.
