Joni (Grobizna) LuCante, 73, of Sewaren, passed away on September 24, 2018 at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.  Born in Carteret to John and Irene Grobizna, Joan was a resident of Sewaren for 41 years.  She was a devoted catholic and communicant of St. James R.C. Church, Woodbridge.  Most of all Joni enjoyed spending time with family and especially her grandchildren.  Her hobbies included decorating, gardening and taking nature hikes.

Joni is survived by her husband Jerry of 54 years; three children, Vincent LuCante, Nicole LuCante, and her fiancée Michael Amato and Christopher LuCante, and his fiancée Marie Rivera; eight grandchildren, Breanna, Brandon, Victoria, Jacqueline, Ryan, Gianna, Ava and Leonardo.

Joni is predeceased by her brother Ronald Grobizna.

A funeral mass will be held at 9 AM on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at St. James R.C. Church, Woodbridge.  Inurnment will follow in St. James Mausoleum, Woodbridge.  Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org .  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords.
