John Scott Warshany, 61, of Edison, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at JFK / Meridian Medical Center in Edison, following a brief illness.

Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, John was a longtime resident of Edison. He was a devoted member of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Fords and a proud member and past Grand Knight of the Our Lady of Peace Council #9199 Knights of Columbus in Edison.

A free spirit at heart, John was often found volunteering at his church or with the Knights of Columbus. He found joy in bowling, golfing, and most of all, spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his loving parents, Michael and Mildred Warshany.

John is survived by his cherished siblings: Richard M. Warshany of Harford, PA; Robert W. Warshany and his wife Sharon of Chapel Hill, NC; David W. Warshany of Charlotte, NC; and Patricia Ann Eak and her husband Joseph, also of Charlotte, NC. He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews.

Private cremation services have been entrusted to the care of Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863.
