John F. O'Brien, 93, of Metuchen, passed away November 7, 2016, in Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center. He was born December 29, 1922, in Perth Amboy. John was a retired Steele Salesman for Mapes and Sprowl in Linden. He was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1941. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Metuchen Seniors.

John was predeceased by his loving wife of 66 years, Olga O'Brien, in 2012.

He is survived by a daughter, Maureen Hart and her husband, Allen, of Rahway.

Private funeral services were entrusted to the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840.

Memorial contributions in John's name may be made to Haven Hospice or the Navy Memorial in Washington D.C.
