John G. Mitro, Jr., 77, of Edison, passed away in Hackensack Meridian Health JFK Medical Center, NJ, on December 12, 2020. He was born on June 17, 1943, in Carteret, NJ.

John is survived by his wife, Carol Mitro; his son, Kevin Mitro, his sister, Barbara Tahirak, his nephew, Michael Tahirak, his niece, Melissa Killian and three great-nephews. John was employed by Ashland, Inc. for 26 yrs. as a chemical operator.

Services under the direction of Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020, 10:30 am, at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords, NJ. Graveside service will be on Friday, December 18, 2020, 12:15 pm, in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway, NJ.
