John A. Marchitto,60, of Fords, entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. He was born in New Brunswick and lived in Perth Amboy and Fords most of his life.
John enjoyed horse racing and drag racing. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. He was employed as a Superintendent at Raritan Bay Mental Health Center in Perth Amboy for the past 32 years; he was also employed as a Bounty Hunter.
John was predeceased by his parents, John and Margaret Marchitto. He is survived by his two daughters: Carey and Kristin Marchitto of Fords; a granddaughter, McKenna; a brother, Frank "Major" Menna; and his step-mother, Elizabeth Menna.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011, at 10:00 AM from FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, followed by a 10:30 AM mass at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords. Burial will be in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM.
