John Lombardo, 89, of Edison, passed away on July 2, 2020. He was born in New Brunswick on November 5, 1930.  John had resided in Edison for over 60 years. He was a co-owner of Hillside Warehouse and Trucking in Edison. He served in the US Army. John was a Charter Member of the Forsgate Country Club and an avid golfer.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Carmen and Santo Lombardo, and a sister, Kate Martel.

John is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gayle (nee Cloninger) Lombardo, of Edison. Two sons, John Lombardo, and his wife, Angela, of Franklin Park; Gary Lombardo, and his wife Tama, of Santa Fe, New Mexico; daughter, Nancy Lombardo, of Manalapan; seven grandchildren: Jonathan, Eric, Evan, Julia, Michael, Milan, and Amea; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Genevieve.

Services are private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's name may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
