John M. Kobran's Obituary
John M. Kobran, 89, of Perth Amboy, passed away on January 29, 2015, at Victoria Healthcare, Matawan. Born in Perth Amboy, John was a life-long resident. He was a communicant of Good Shepherd Parish at Holy Spirit, Perth Amboy. John was a chemical worker for Allied Chemical in Elizabeth for over 30 years. He was also a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy.
John was predeceased by his wife, LaRita (Goriss) Kobran (2003). He is survived by his son, Michael Kobran of Williamstown and daughter, Michele Smith and her husband Robert Kane of Hazlet; two grandchildren, Samantha and Kimberly.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at 9 AM from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords followed by a 9:30 AM mass at Good Shepherd Parish at Holy Spirit Church, Perth Amboy. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to, American Cancer Society.
