Obituary

John Keich, 71, of Fords, passed away at JFK Medical Center on January 20, 2021. He was born on November 16, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY. John was a retired Machinist. He graduated Woodbridge High School Class of 1967. He served in the US Army in Vietnam, where he was awarded The Army Commendation Medal in support of military operations against communist aggression in the Republic of Vietnam. He also earned the National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Service Star; and Combat Infantryman Badge.

He was predeceased by his wife Ellen Keich in 2006; his parents, John Keich Sr. and Elsie (nee. Guzenski) and his sister, Janet Keich.

John is survived by a son, Jonathan Keich, of Fords; a daughter, Lauren and her husband, Mike Delabar, of Woodbridge; two granddaughters, Emma and Ava; two brothers, Richard Keich, and his wife, Noel, of Sayreville, and David Keich, and his wife Kathy, of Old Bridge; a sister, Donna Keich, of Orwigsbourg, PA.; sister-in-law, Lois Hogya, and her husband, Joe, of East Windsor; and a nephew, Greg; a niece, Kim; two nephews, Kenny and David; and many great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Monday, January 25, 2021 at 1:00 PM in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia, NJ; with repast to follow for family and friends.
