John O. Fernandez, 50 years young, of Old Bridge, passed peacefully early on Thursday morning, November 19, 2020, at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.

He was born in New York City and had resided in Old Bridge for the last 13 years.  He was employed as an inspector track worker for over 10 years with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority of New York City.  He was a member of the Transport Workers Union, Local 100 of New York City.

John leaves behind his beloved wife of 32 years, Brenda Zambrano Fernandez; his three sons: Jonathan Fernandez, Brendan Fernandez and Jensen Fernandez, all of Old Bridge; his beloved parents, Erasmo Fernandez and Jenny Fernandez; his brother, Jimmy Fernandez; and his sisters, Jessie Pena and Sheena Fernandez.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 30th, 2020, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 pm  followed by a 1:00 pm funeral service officiated by Rev. Ron Machado at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Interment will follow at Alpine Cemetery in Perth Amboy
