John "Jack" Cullen, of Edison, died March 21, 2015, in JFK Medical Center. He was born in Wilkes Barre, PA. Jack was a long-time resident of Edison. He was a roofer with Local 8 in Brooklyn. He served in the US Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post 408 in Newark. He was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen.
Jack was predeceased by his wife, Doris Cullen, and his dear friend, Mary Thubborn.
He is survived by his son, J. Brian Cullen of Somerset; daughter, Maureen Cullen of Los Angeles; three brothers, Michael Cullen and his wife, Sally, of Morris Plains; Edward Cullen of Barnegat; and Joseph Cullen and his wife, Julie, of Barnegat; three sisters, Mary Stachera of Fords; Peggy Adubato of Cranford; and Kathleen Cullen of Barnegat; many beloved nieces and nephews; and many caring friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 4 pm to 8 pm at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840. Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 9:45 am at the funeral home. A 10:15 am Funeral Liturgy will be offered at St. Francis Cathedral. Interment will follow in St Gertrude Cemetery.
