John "Duke" Charles Dudik, 77, of Fords, passed away on October 28, 2024, at John F. Kennedy Medical Center. He was born in Perth Amboy on August 13, 1947. John was a Technician for JCP&L. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. John was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, Class of 1965. John enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing and loved his trips to Cape Cod in his early years. He was a member of the Hubs in Perth Amboy. John "Duke" enjoyed watching sports and spending time at his hometown bar, The Liberty Tavern, where everyone knew his name. He loved to watch the horse races and his nightly session of doing his scratch off tickets which rewarded him one day.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jean Ann Dudik, in 2021 whom he lived with for over 20 years in Avenel.
John is survived by two daughters, Jessica Dudik, and her fiancé Alan Ocelus, of Woodbridge, and Jamie Stitt, and her husband, Jason, of South Plainfield; and two grandsons, Jaxon and Jace "little Duke" Stitt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, located at 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Cremation is private.
