Obituary

John "Jack" G. Capik, 70, of Edison, passed away, at JFK Medical Center on April 8, 2014. He was born in Perth Amboy on July 4, 1943. He resided in Edison for the last 42 years. He was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, Class of 1961. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict. Jack was the Owner/Operator of the Chevron gas station in Fords for 25 years. He enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and Harness Racing.

He was predeceased by his wife, Dianne Capik, in 2004.

Jack is survived by his three children: Dianne Joseph and her husband Gerard of Edison, Anthony Landi, III of Edison, and Stephanie Kose of Edison; six grandchildren: Guven Jr., Victoria, Shelby J., Anthony, Serena, and Layla; sister, Patricia Guzofski and her husband Dennis of Port Reading; brother, William Capik and his wife Christine of Allenhurst; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 11, 2014, 10:30 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863.
