John Bodzas, 85, of Edison, died July 8, 2012, in JFK Hospital in Edison.
Born, June 1, 1927, in Fords, he was a life-long resident of Edison. John was the Owner/Operator of the Edison Sign Company. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords; a member of the Holy Name Society; a Hydroplaning Champion; a veteran of the U.S. Navy; a member of the Navy Lakehurst Historical Society; and a Committeeman of the Middlesex County Democratic Party.
John was predeceased by his brothers, Julius and Zoltan Bodzas. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette (nee Sieczkowski), of Edison; his son, John "Jack" Bodzas and his wife Holly of Hillsboro; his two grandchildren, Zoe and Austin; and his sister, Helen Griffin.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863. Services will begin Thursday at 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church. A committal service will take place at Rosehill Crematory in Linden.
