John Edward Balwierczak, 93, of Fords, passed away peacefully June 17, 2018, with his loving family by his side at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison.  He was born in Perth Amboy and has resided in Fords for the last 60 years.

He was graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute, retiring from Hatco Chemical Co. in 1992.  John was an Army veteran of WW II having served in Europe.  He was a communicant of St. Stephen's R C Church in Perth Amboy, and a member of the Sayreville VFW Post 4699.

John was predeceased by his wife, Mary Balwierczak, and his son, Kenneth.  He is survived by his daughter, Karen DeGiorgio and her husband, Todd, of Florida; his granddaughter, Gianna Jirau and her husband, Jared, of Florida; his grandson, Nick De Giorgio, of California; and his great- grandchildren: Caleb, Jared Jr., Jazlynn, and Joshua of Florida; his sisters-in-law Joan Zuczek and Irene Zuczek; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on June 25, 2018, at 9:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords followed by a 10 am Funeral Liturgy at St. Stephen's Church.  Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Sayreville.  Visitation is Monday 8:30 am to 9:30 am.
