John G. Arroyo, 63 of Fords, passed peacefully on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the RWJ University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Born in Puerto Rico and formerly of NY City, he had resided in Fords since 1997.

He was a Viet Nam Veteran, serving in the US Navy.

He was employed at a Postal Clerk for the US Postal Service in NY City.

John enjoyed salt water fishing, Afro-Cuban and Salsa music and enjoyed playing the Congas.

He will always be remembered as a very funny guy. Putting smiles on every face he met.

He is predeceased by his parents, Confessor and Carmenana Arroyo and his brother Willie.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 35 years, Blanca I, Martinez, his 3 children, Carmen B. Arroyo and her partner, Stephanie, John G. Arroyo, Jr. and Haydee J. Arroyo, both of Fords, his grandson John Michael Arroyo and his brothers Confesor, Mikey, Martin, Miguel and Nati and his three sisters; Haydee, Maria and Linda.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 14, 2016, from 2-6 pm only at the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863. Cremation will follow privately.
