Johanna was a Registered Nurse at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy for 41 years before retiring in 1992.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords where she was a Euchristic Minister and a former CCD teacher.

Johanna was predeceased by her husband, Michael J. O'Hara, in 1997 and her son, Thomas, in 2014. She is survived by her four sons: Michael J. Jr. of Woodbridge; James of Carteret; Dennis of Alexandria, VA; and Kevin of Moultonboro, NH. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Patricia, Colleen, Christopher, Thomas and Caitlin; four great grandchildren: Reily Paige, Brody, Logan and Dylan; and her siblings, Margaret Shirley of Edison and John Herega of Orlando, FL.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords followed by a 10 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace. Entombment will follow in St. James Mausoleum. Visitation is Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 am.
