Joanne Valese, 64, of, Woodbridge, passed peacefully Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the JFK Medical Center in Edison, with her loving family at her side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, and went to be home with the Lord.
Joanne was born in Newark, was formerly of Irvington, and had resided in Woodbridge since 1973.
She was a member of the graduating class of 1965 of Irvington High School.
She was a member of the Fellowship Bible Church in Woodbridge.

Joann leaves behind her beloved husband of 39 years, John Valese, her 2 loving daughters, Sandra M. Valese, at home, and Valerie Powers and her husband Wayne, of Keyport, her son John Mark Valese at home, and her six adoring grandchildren, Adelina, Gabriella, Isabella, Wayne, Jr., Owen and Monique, along with her devoted sister, Marie Morrison of Livingston.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.

Visitation will be on Friday June 1, 2012 from 4 to 8 pm.
