Joann Tamagnini
Meany
December 9, 1954 – February 10, 2025
JoAnn Tamagnini Meany passed away at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital on Monday, February 10, 2025. She was 70.
Jo Ann was born in New Brunswick to Anthony and Frances Tamagnini on December 9, 1954. She was the last living of three siblings - her brothers Joseph and Anthony, and is survived by her son Connor. She was predeceased by her husband Robert in 2019. Jo Ann worked many jobs in her life, enjoying many years with the Township of Edison and the FBI, among others - though her favorite job was probably as a mother. She also loved her dog, Bella, a ten year old cocker spaniel-poodle mix that would follow her around everywhere.
Jo Ann was known to many as someone who wasn't afraid to open her mouth - she was as quick to advocate for you as she was to tell you how much you were annoying her, and she was never scared to speak what was on her mind. She had a real knack for bringing people together, whether it was from her jokes, her cooking, or her home that she invited so many into throughout the years. She thought of these as her love languages and would joke with, or cook for, or host you for as long as you needed. Jo Ann carried a huge heart for others and spent most of her days spreading that love around.
