JoAnn M. Ackerman, 63, of Edison, passed peacefully on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at RWJU Hospital New Brunswick.

Born in Bronx NY, she had resided in Edison the last 23 years with her beloved husband of 41 years, Martin H. Ackerman.

She had been a Teacher's Aide with the Piscataway Regional Day School for over 21 years.  Her loss will be felt in the school, as well as by her oldest son, Scott Ackerman and his wife Kristina of Bordentown; youngest son Brian Ackerman of Edison; her three grandchildren Brayden, Bailey and Remy; and her sisters Marie Buckley, Patricia Anello and Jeanne McKeon.

JoAnn's family is hosting a Memorial Service on Saturday, June 6, 2015, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave. Metuchen, NJ 08840, with a 4 pm prayer service.
