Joan Sewitch (nee Weiss), 82, of Perth Amboy died at home on January 29, 2012. Born July 31, 1929 in Perth Amboy, she resided in Perth Amboy for many years. She also lived in North Brunswick and Highland Park. She was a homemaker. She graduated Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1947. She was a member of Congregation Shaarey Tefiloh and Hadassah as well as a member of the Raritan Bay Yacht Club Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Sewitch, of Perth Amboy. Two daughters, Dr. Maida Sewitch of Montreal, Canada and RoseAnn Sewitch of North Brunswick; two granddaughters, Allison Friedman and Pamela Mathis; and a sister, Mitzi Weitzen of FL.

Services will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012, 12 Noon at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Interment will follow in Shaarey Tefiloh Cemetery in Perth Amboy. Donations may be made to Friends for the Preservation of Jewish Cemeteries in Middlesex County.
