Joan Marie Mccarthy's Obituary
Joan Marie McCarthy, 55, died Thursday, August 12, 2010, at her home.
She was born in Woodbridge and lived most of her life in Hopelawn before moving to Perth Amboy 15 years ago. She was formerly employed by Amerada Hess Corp. of Woodbridge. She was a member of the Hopelawn First Aid Squad and marched with the Hopelawn V.F.W. Drill Team.
She is predeceased by her father, Richard McCarthy and mother, Joanna McCarthy-Mangum who died July 26, 2010. Joan is survived by her son, Michael A. McCarthy of Georgia; her sister, Patricia Rosen and her husband, Mark, of Kendall Park; Jacqueline M. Ream of VA; and 3 nieces: Rachel, Heather, and Jessica Rosen.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, August 16, 2010, at 10:00 AM at the FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 15, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
