Obituary of Joan E. Irvine


Joan E. Irvine, 82, of Fords, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Brookdale Assisted Living in Tequesta, FL. Mrs. Irvine was born in Perth Amboy to the late Joseph P. and Elizabeth Toth Fofrich and had lived all of her life in Fords. She was a graduate of Woodbridge High School class of 1953, where she loved cheerleading.
Joan was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.
She was a member of the Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords.
She was predeceased by her husband James Irvine in 2018, a daughter Deborah Baldwin in 2015 and a sister Janet Fofrich Jacobs in 2012.
Surviving are her son in law, Scott Baldwin of Jupiter, FL, three grandchildren, Matthew Lewin and companion Brittany Penny of Jupiter, FL, Deanna Baldwin of Jupiter, FL, and Steven Baldwin also of Jupiter, FL. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Interment will follow in the Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery in Fords. Visitation hours will be held Saturday from 9 am to 11 am.
