Joan Baumgarten, 82, a lifelong resident of Fords, passed peacefully on Thursday January 14, 2016 at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords and a member of the Rosary Society at the church.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Adolf, her beloved sons; David M. of Fords and Bruce A and his wife Kathleen Carver of Laurel, MD and her dear granddaughter, Christine Carver Baumgarten of Columbia, MD, and her brother, Robert Schurig of North Brunswick.

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 2 pm to 5 pm at, the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.

Funeral services will begin on Monday January 18, 2016 at 10 a.m. from the Flynn and son Funeral Home, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
