Jerry D. Rybeck, 73, of Edison passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born September 30, 1939, in Perth Amboy, he resided in Edison for the past 50 years. He was employed as a Boiler Engineer with Local 68 out of West Caldwell for 30 years, retiring in 1996. After retirement, he joined Atone Mechanical in Port Reading, working for 8 years and retiring in 2004. He was a member of Lafayette Lodge #27 Free and Accepted Masons in Rahway.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mildred (Hoskins); his son, Michael and his wife, Roxanne of Kresgeville, PA; 2 daughters, Sherri Walsh and her husband, Timothy, of Blairstown, NJ, and Alison Rybinski and her husband, David of South Brunswick; 7 grandchildren: Brittanimay, Danielle, Connor, Morgan, Carly, Ryan, and David; a brother, Richard Rybeck; a sister, Barbara Sweda; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ, at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Clover Leaf Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 8, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Jerry's name.
