Jennifer DeSantis, age 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.

Born on July 31, 1947, Jennifer grew up in Newark, NJ and attended Weequahic High School. After spending her childhood in Newark, Jennifer moved to Fords in 1964 to start her family and had been a resident ever since. Among many jobs she had, Jennifer was best known for being a waitress for the Menlo Park Diner for 16 years. After the diner’s tragic fire, Jennifer continued to work in the food industry, working proudly as a DoorDash driver. She was an avid fan of rock and roll and loved Pink Floyd. Jennifer also loved the Yankees and Derek Jeter.

Jennifer was predeceased by her parents, Pasquale and Ida Guerro.

Surviving Jennifer are her three beloved children, Ronald DeSantis, Nicole Stetz and her husband Daniel, and Denise DeSantis; her brother, Joe Guerro; her grandchildren, Nikki Kostelnic and her husband Joseph Wojcik, Taylor Ruffino and her husband Frankie, Ronald Joseph DeSantis, and Christopher DeSantis along with his wife Stephanie; and her great-grandchildren, Ella Marie DeSantis, Enzo DeSantis, Kylo DeSantis, Theo DeSantis, Kayden Ruffino, Isabella Ruffino, soon-to-be Cameron Ruffino, and Ava Vanessa Wojcik.

Friends and family are invited to meet directly at Our Lady of Peace RC Church for a 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Thursday, June 25, 2026, located at 620 Amboy Ave., Edison, NJ 08837. Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, US Hwy 1, Woodbridge, NJ. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863.
