Jennie A. Walicky, 97, of Perth Amboy passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 11, 2022.

Jennie was born in Pawtucket, RI, the daughter of the late Peter and Agnes Zabek.  Jennie moved to Perth Amboy to marry Peter Walicky, and made it her home for over 75 years.  Jennie and Peter bought a home and raised a family while enjoying a wonderful life together.  The family shared amazing memories, and experiences including travel both near and far.  Jennie provided her children with love and security that allowed them to venture in many directions as they matured.  They always knew there was a warm meal and smile waiting at home.

In addition to her parents, Jennie was preceded in death by her husband Peter in 2006, and her siblings: Matthew Zabek, Joseph Zabek, and Wanda Gernereux.

She is survived by her children: Carolyn Mihalko and husband Bernard; Nancy Asay and husband Donald; and Thomas Walicky and wife Quenna; three grandchildren: Pamela Coleman and husband Douglas, Addie Asay and husband Jon Flynn, and Meghan Rush and husband Derek. Jennie also is survived by nine great-grandchildren Kiley, Kennedy, Brogan, Becan, Aaron, Genevieve, Donald, Daphne, and Dax.
