Jeanne Marie (nee: Rogers) Settanni, 81, of Edison, passed peacefully, surrounded with the love of her family at her side, on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at RWJ University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born on Staten Island, NY, she was formerly of the Mariners Harbor, Elm Park and Willowbrook sections, before moving to Edison 61 years ago. She was an alumna of Port Richmond High School, Class of 1953, and a former member of the Daughters of America. Jeanne was a Receptionist for over 11 years with Realty Executives Home Group in Edison. Prior to that, she had been employed for 40 years as Doctor's Nurse and Office Manager for Dr. Constantine Pappas, in Edison. She was a promoter of the Church of the Miraculous Medal, Philadelphia, PA, and a member of the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal.
Jeanne was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Mary Rogers, and her beloved husband, Gelardi "Jerry" Settanni who died in 1981.
She leaves behind her beloved daughter and caregiver, LuAnn Llizo and her husband, Ruben, of Edison; her son, Gerald Settanni and his wife, Theresa, of North Brunswick; her two grandchildren: Gerald and Melanie Settanni; her brother, Charles Rogers and his wife, Dorothy, of Metuchen; her three sisters: Eleanor Feith and her husband, Robert, of Howell; Vivian Gallelli and her husband, Aldo, of Jackson; and Verne Solvesen and her husband, Douglas, of Georgetown, ME.
Visitation will be on Sunday, September 25, 2016, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, September 26, 2016, at 9:30 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Guardian Angels Church, of the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish, Edison. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
