Jeanette Caroline Franko (nee: Kinal), 90, of Edison, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2017, at Whispering Knoll Assisted Living Facility, Edison, NJ.
She was born in Perth Amboy, and resided in Metuchen for 63 years before moving to Edison.
Jeanette was a Registered Nurse for fifty years, twenty one years of which she was employed at Perth Amboy Hospital.
She was a communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen and a member of the Metuchen Senior Citizens. She was a volunteer for the JFK Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.
Jeanette was predeceased by her brothers: Stanley, John and Chester (her fraternal twin) Kinal; and by her sisters: Angela Kogut and Helen Meszaros.
Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Benjamin; her sons: Robert (Pat) of Metuchen, Michael (Chris) of Yardley, PA; her daughters: Joanne Lynn (Tom) of Mount Vernon, WA. and Patricia Lynn (John) of Springfield, NJ. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; her sister, Hedwig Narlesky of NY; and many nephews and nieces.
Viewing will be Saturday, December 30, 8:00 - 9:45 AM at Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen with a Funeral Liturgy at 10:15 AM at St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hopelawn.
