Jean Marie Steinmetz, 56, of Metuchen, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on September 19, 2017. She was born on May 4, 1961, in Staten Island, NY. Jean was a Product Manager for All Shore Industries, in Staten Island. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Perth Amboy and was a member of the Alter Guild. Jean loved to go on cruises; take pictures; listen to music; read and garden.

She was predeceased by her father, Peter Steinmetz; and a sister, Elizabeth Steinmetz.

Jean is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Steinmetz, of Staten Island; partner of 11 years, Ann Marie Moreno, of Metuchen; daughter, Elyse Gabel, of Piscataway; son, Tyler Gabel, of Metuchen; three step-sons: Angelo and Mark Battista of Bronx, NY, and Dominic Battista, of Metuchen; three brothers: Peter Steinmetz, and his wife, Michelle; Richard Steinmetz, and his wife, Karen; and James Steinmetz, all of Staten Island; and two nieces and two nephews.

Visitation will be at St. Peters Episcopal Church, 188 Rector St., Perth Amboy, NJ, 08861, on Saturday, September 23, 2017, 10 am-2 pm. A Service of Requiem will follow in the church at 2 pm. Cremation is private.  Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08840.
