Jean T. Schaefer, 89, of Edison passed peacefully on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.

She was born in Newark NJ, raised in Pittsburgh, PA and had resided in Edison for the last 62 years.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph John Schaefer, Sr. who died in May of 2004.

She leaves behind her three beloved daughters, Linda A. Schaefer with whom she resided, Theresa J Chirichella of Old Bridge, NJ and Barbara A. Wood of Aberdeen, NJ, and her beloved son Joseph J. Schaefer, Jr. and his wife Mary, of Clark, NJ. her seven grandchildren, Nicole, Kimberly, Jessica, Christopher, Alyssa, Caitlyn and Dylan, her five great-grandchildren, Lily, Hunter, Parker, Oliver and Emersyn.

Visitation will take place at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday morning, November 15, 2022,  from 9 am to 10 am with a funeral service beginning at 10 am at the funeral home,  followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords, interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery Metuchen, NJ

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
