Jean C. Kluft, 76, of Budd Lake, New Jersey, died Saturday March 5, 2022 at the Hackettstown Memorial Hospital in Hackettstown, N.J.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Jack Murry Kluft M.D. and Peppy Rabiner Kluft, Jean spent her childhood in Perth Amboy. She graduated from the Rutgers Preparatory School in New Brunswick before receiving her bachelor's degree from Elmira College in New York.  After her career as a model, she worked as a social worker and paralegal, later becoming a Senior Employment Counselor for the Morris County One-Stop-Career Center in Morristown before her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed studying psychology, parapsychology, and music. She had a special fascination with the Beatles and Paul McCartney.

Jean is survived by her brother, Richard P. Kluft, M.D. and his wife, Estelle Kluft; her nephew, David Kluft, Esq.; her niece, Jacqueline Kluft Ph.D.; and Dima Chausovsky, her family's beloved "relative by choice."

A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 10, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue Perth Amboy, NJ  08861. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin, NJ. A Zoom Shiva will be held at Beth David Reform Congregation in Gladwyne at 8 p.m. on Sunday March 13, 2022. Family members, friends, synagogue members will receive the link.
