Janet Audrey Guzzi, 88, of Manchester, NJ passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022.

Born in Newark, Jan was the daughter of the late Archibald and Mildred Simon Godbout.  She grew up in the Clara Barton section of Edison, and was a graduate of the Clara Barton School and Metuchen High School remaining life-long friends with her classmates. Later, she worked as an executive secretary for Firmenich Fragrances in Plainsboro Township for many years meeting many dear friends during her time there.

Always gregarious and outgoing, Jan enjoyed spending time with family and friends, meeting new people, and traveling to new places.  Yet, even though she loved to travel she was always happiest surrounded by her family.

In addition to her parents, Jan was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Guzzi in 1982, and companion Thomas DiFrederico in 2000.  She is survived by her son Gary and wife Kathy; son Wayne and wife Judy; and grandchildren: Joseph, Jennifer, Michael, Jason, and Amanda.  She is also survived by her sister Yvonne Demeter, many nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends.

Friends may call at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ of Tuesday, May 24 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. A prayer service will take place at 8:00pm.  Cremation will take place privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Jan's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
