Jane Loretta Brady (née Farrell), born on July 23, 1936 in Jersey City passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Fords on Saturday, April 12, 2025 surrounded by her little dog and her cats. Jane was known for her compassion and kindness and for her unwavering dedication to helping both animals and people throughout her life. Raised in Jersey City, Jane carried the values of her upbringing into her adult life where she became a beloved member of the Fords community. Her warmth and empathy left a lasting impression on everyone she met and she was deeply loved by all who knew her. Jane's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the impact of a generous spirit. Her dedication to helping others, whether through her work with animals or her support of those in need was a defining characteristic of her life. Her family and friends will forever remember her as a compassionate soul who made the world a better place. Jane loved to dance and was known as the Dancing Queen who always loved to dance with a boa and have fun ! She was always known as the cool mom starting from the time she was the class mom for her children while in grade school to going to concerts and vacations with her children in their adult life. Everybody loved Janie !
Jane was the eldest of 5 siblings. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Brady of 45 years, her parents Helen and Joseph Farrell Sr., and her siblings Joanne, Jimmy, and Billy. She is survived by her brother Joseph Farrell Jr., her cherished children Cindy, Ken (Jo Ann), and John, her grandchildren Ken and Christina, and her great-grandchildren Aubrey, Colton, Emma, and Weston.
As we celebrate Jane's life, we honor her memory by continuing her legacy of kindness and compassion. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched and her influence will be felt for generations to come. Jane will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
Friends may call on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm at the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords where services will take place at 9:30am on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
