James "Red" Ogorek, of Fords, passed away, on October 27, 2017, at JFK Medical Center. He was born July 2, 1955, in New Brunswick. Red worked as a Letter Carrier for the Perth Amboy Post Office for many years and as a Delivery Driver for the Fords Post Office.  He resided in Perth Amboy for many years before moving to Fords 17 years ago.

Red was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, Class of 1973. He was an avid fisherman; enjoyed bowling and was a member of the AOH in Perth Amboy.

He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Ogorek, Jr.  in 2004.

Red is survived by a sister, Marianne Naumowicz and her husband, Edward, of Whitehaven, PA; two nieces, Victoria and Julia; two great-nephews, Stein and Thomas; two great-nieces, Gwen and Clara; an aunt, Alice Lo Cascio; an uncle, Caz Ogorek; and 27 cousins.

Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave, Fords, NJ 08862, 12- 2pm, services will be at 2pm in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
