James G. Knowles, Jr., 84, of Hillsborough, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 19, 2021.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to James and Mary Knowles, James moved to New Jersey in his teens. After high school, James served in the United States Army as a mechanic. Upon the completed of his service to his country, James continued his work as a mechanic and then as a truck driver for numerous trucking companies including Eastern Express in Edison and as a member of the Teamsters, Local #701. James retired from Bridgewater Resources, Inc (BRI).

Beloved husband of Jacqueline "Jackie" Knowles. Loving father of James Knowles and wife Randi and Judi Edwards and husband Kenneth. Cherished grandfather of Kara, Kelsey and Korissa Edwards and Jamie and Evan Knowles. Caring brother of Lois Pecht. James is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit Saturday, June 26, 9:30am to 11:30am at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, followed by a graveside service at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen.
