James A. Kelly, 80, formerly of Staten Island, passed away on April 3, 2013 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Staten Island, James resided most of his life there, before moving to Atlantic Highlands 3 years ago.
He worked for N.Y. Bell Telephone Company as a supervisor for 30 years, retiring in 1991. James was a veteran, serving in the US Navy 1952-1956. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Staten Island, Masons LaGuardia Lodge 1130 in Staten Island and Monmouth Lodge 172 in Atlantic Highlands.
James is survived by his wife, Frances (Guastavino), married 56 years; sons: James and his wife Lisa of Fords, Joseph and his wife Kathy of Trumble, Ct., daughters; Lynda Kelder and her husband James of Olivebranch, NY, Marilyn Kelly of Atlantic Highlands.
Grandchildren: Melissa, Suzanne, KellyAnn, James, Katherine, Zachary and Patricia; great grandchildren: Dalaina, Sierena and brothers Dennis and John.
Funeral services will be held 9 AM, Monday April 8, 2013 at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863 with a funeral service at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran, 309 Saint Pauls Ave., Staten Island. Cremation will follow at Rosehill Crematory, Linden, NJ. Viewing will be Saturday 7-9 PM and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
