James R. Kane of Warminster, PA, died Sunday, February 22, 2015, at Manatawny Manor in Pottstown, PA. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, on May 17, 1939, he grew up in Summit, NJ, and formerly lived in Gillette and Bridgewater before moving to Pennsylvania. He graduated from Villanova University as a Civil Engineer. He was employed as a Senior Vice President of Elson T. Killam & Associates which is now W.R.Grace in Millburn until his retirement. He married the love of his life, Rosemary Dorgan, upon his graduation from college in 1961. He loved horse racing and owned several race horses and remained faithful to his Wildcats of Villanova.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, James and Kathleen (Walsh) Kane, and his wife, Rosemary.
Surviving is his loving daughter, Jennifer Genovese and her husband Frank, of Gilbertsville, PA. He was a loving grandfather of Cassandra, Alyssa, and Anthony; beloved brother of Elizabeth Patino and husband, John, of Easton, PA; Kathleen Reddington and husband, Robert, of Sparta Lake; Patricia Flynn and husband, Brendan, of Metuchen; and Brian Kane and wife, Cathy, of San Francisco, CA. He is also survived by his dearest brother and sister-in-law of Dr. Robert Knapp and wife, Joanne (Dorgan) of Watchung; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at 10:00 am from Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, NJ, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Francis Cathedral Metuchen, NJ. Visiting hours will be Wednesday morning from 8:30 am to 10:00 am at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
