James J. Thomas, 72, of Fords, passed away at home on April 30, 2013. Born in New York City, he resided in Fords for the past 25 years. He was employed as a Manager at Ferrelges Gas Co. for 12 years prior to his retirement in 2006. Mr. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War.

He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen Thomas, in 2000. Surviving is his son, Christopher Thomas of Fords; his sister, Barbara; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, at 10 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, May 3, from 7-9 pm. Burial will be in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ 07653.
