Obituary

James A. Hasselbrook, 77, of Fords, passed suddenly on Wednesday, January 8, 2014.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY and has resided in Fords for the last 52 years.

He was a retired draftsman / sales rep for over 40 years with Otis Elevators of NYC and Harrison, NJ He enjoyed fishing and was an avid N.Y. Mets Baseball, N.Y. Jets Football and Rutgers athletics fan.
He was a former member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fords.
He was the long time treasurer for the Majestic Lanes Tuesday Night Bowling leagues.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Joyce Lee Mulowski who died in 1995.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years, Sylvia Hasselbrook, his son, James Hasselbrook and his daughter in law, Audrey of Nutley, his 3 daughters, Randi Gordon and his son in law, Ben of Alplaus , NY , Sally Hasselbrook of N.Y. City, and Laura McArdle and his son in law, Kevin of Port Murray, NJ, his dear four grandchildren, Sara, Lisa, Rebecca and Susan, his brother, Raymond and his wife, Jackie Hasselbrook of Bridgewater and his son in law, Ed Mulowski of Fords.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Flynn & son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave Fords, NJ 08863, with Rev. Christopher Sadlo officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.
