James F. "Lefty" Guden, 74, of Hopelawn, passed suddenly at his home, on Saturday, October 6, 2018.
Born in Jersey City, he had resided in Hopelawn for over 30 years.
He was a retired warehouseman for Preferred Freezer Services in Perth Amboy, for over 9 years. Prior to that he had been employed with Colgate Palmolive Co. and Hudson Refrigerator, for 20 years, both of Jersey City.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Michaeline Guden who died in 2009, his brothers, Patrick Guden and Walter Borowski, his sister, Barbara Borowski, and his parents, Edmund and Georgiana Borowski.
He leaves behind his three brothers, George Guden and his wife Angela, of Port Reading, Edward Borowski and his wife Joanne, of Raritan, and John Borowski of Bayonne, his two sisters, Maryann Miliano of Bayonne and Nancy Burke of Jersey City, his mother–in-law, Blanche Goodman of Hopelawn, his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Trudy and John Szczesny of Fords, and Walter and Jackie Szczesny, of Middletown and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 4-8 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, followed by a 1 pm interment service at the shelter at Brig. General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd. Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
