Jack Hoagland, age 68, a life-long resident of Perth Amboy died Saturday, September 18th, at home.
Jack was a horseracing enthusiast. He loved sports and spending time in Saratoga and at Monmouth Park. He was an avid fisherman and at one time held the state record for the largest Tarpin he caught off the Shrewsbury Rocks.
He was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Elizabeth Hoagland. Surviving is his wife of 35 years Janet; his dog Jake; children: Susan Sutton, Kenny Hoagland, Tracy Sgroi, and Tom Pfirrman; grandchildren: Emily Hoagland, Erica Sutton, Montgomerie Pfirrman, MacIntyre Pfirrman, and Stella Sgroi; siblings: Barbara Bode, Elizabeth Gutowski, Howard Hoagland, Ruth Lyons, and Ellen Dennis.
Jack's wishes were to be privately cremated and please no flowers. Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, September 22, from 5:00 PM until a memorial service at 6:30 PM at the FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Fords Ave., Fords, NJ 08863.
