Obituary

J. Joseph "Joe" Perri passed away at home with his family at his side on Monday, March 3, 2025.

Joe was born on New Year's Day, 1933; the son of Eugene and Betty Perri. He grew up in Franklin Township and attended the local elementary and high school.  In 1953 he was inducted into the US Army where he served during the Korean War until 1955.  After his tour with the Army Joe married his sweetheart, the former Mary Benyola on September 10, 1955.

He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ for over 50 years where he served as not only a minister, but as a missionary who went on numerous mission trips to Africa during his service to the Lord.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Betty Perri, and his brother Gene Perri.  He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 70 years Mary Benyola Perri, his children Cynthia Wolff and her husband Scott, Kevin Perri and his wife Thelma, and Gregory Perri and his wife Christina.  He also leaves to cherish his memory is his sister Lydia Perri Mazzeo; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services and interment will take place privately.  There will be a memorial celebration of Joe's life on Saturday, March 22, 2025, 10 am at the Church of Jesus Christ. 527 Hartford Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054.  The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory.  Send to: HFF, PO Box 956, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054.
