Isadore ("Izzy") Goldberg, 89, of Pompano Beach, FL, passed away on September 17, 2015.  Born in Perth Amboy, he lived in Metuchen and most recently in Florida for the past 8 years.  He was the President of Jacob Goldberg & Son Scrap Iron & Metal in Perth Amboy.  He was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1943 and Rutgers University, 1949.  He was a Member of Highland Park Conservative Temple.  He was a Sergeant in U.S. Army during WWII, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge and was among the first American troops to enter into Dachau.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Sheila Goldberg, of Pompano Beach, FL; his five children: David Goldberg and his wife, Lisa, of Highland Park; Joshua Goldberg of Old Bridge; Jane Lovich and her husband, Alan, of East Brunswick; Lisa Blumenfield and her husband, Richard, of Ridgewood; Eric Goldberg and his wife, Brenda, of Downingtown, PA; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive mourners beginning at 9:00 am on Sunday at the Rutgers Chabad House, 170 College Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901.  Services will follow in the chapel at 9:30.  Burial will be in Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge.
