Isabel Fernandez of Brooklyn, NY entered eternal rest on December 29, 2022. She was 85 years old.

Born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Gregorio Soto and Ulpiana Mercado. Isabel grew up in Puerto Rico and when she moved to the United States, she spent most of her life in Brooklyn, NY. She was a homemaker; she enjoyed cooking and gardening while taking care of her children. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.

Isabel leaves behind her to cherish her memory her loving husband of 31 years, Edward Fernandez; her daughter, Myra Camacho of Brooklyn; her son, William Rivera of Brooklyn; her grandchildren: Gerineldo Camacho of Woodbridge, Melissa Beckford, Doris Miranda, William Miranda Jr.; and her great grandchildren: Nicholas, Isabella Lucas, Ava, Darius, and Sophia.

She is predeceased by her daughter, Sara Miranda.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023, from 11 am to 1 pm at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ. A prayer service will begin at 1 pm, officiated by Monsignor Gordon. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge, NJ.
